ICE Machinery Tender for $24 million

The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad is putting out to tender the purchase of electromechanical equipment for the expansion works at the Cachi Dam.

The details of the tender documents state that some of the equipment to be purchased, among other are:
-Francis-turbine, 40 MW, 514 RPM, 18 M3 / S
-Cruise-Controller for turbine
-Automatic Hydraulic Turbine Regulator
-cooling-system for the turbine unit No. 4

The bid opening is scheduled for July 26, 2011.

ICE is auctioning its purchase of power equipment at its Reventazon hydroelectric project.

The contract includes installation and supervision services as well as commissioning of equipment, efficiency test run services, on-site training and electromechanical equipment (power transformers, metering equipment phase energy and power among others).
