Household Appliances: Potential Market in Central America

More than 4 million people in the region are looking to buy appliances online, and 19% of these consumers are exploring options for purchasing climate control equipment.

The figures in the interactive report detail that of the total number of Salvadoran consumers who are looking to purchase some type of electrical appliance over the Internet, 7% are looking to buy washing machines or dryers.

In Panama, the report details that of the total number of consumers who are looking to buy household appliances online, 6% are trying to buy refrigerators. In Costa Rica that proportion also amounts to about 5%, and in Nicaragua to approximately 11%.

The data updated at the end of the first half of 2020, states that in the Guatemalan market more than 13 thousand people are looking to buy vacuum cleaners, while in Honduras, about 9 thousand consumers are trying to buy stoves or electric cookers.
