In Costa Rica an environmental impact study has been presented for work on renovating the emergency department at the Hospital San Juan de Dios.

According to data from the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData com, the Costa Rican Social Security Department (CCSS) presented the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the refitting project in the Emergency Service area of the hospital, which will require an estimated investment of $14 million.
The project involves the demolition of approximately 1,000 m2, with the construction of approximately 3,650 m2 and 800 m2 of remodeling.The work will have 4 floors, and on the second floor some remodeling will be done on the infrastructure that will connect to the new building.The area to be remodelled is currently being used by as anemergency services area.

The interactive platform "Construction in Central America", from CentralAmericaData's Business Intelligence Area, provides an updated list of public and private construction projects that have submitted environmental impact studies (EIA) to the respective institutions in each country.
The Guatemalan Social Security Institute plans to build a hospital in the municipality of Jutiapa, which will have a capacity of 100 beds and a parking lot for 150 vehicles.
According to the interactive platform "Construction in Central America" of CentralAmericaData's Business Intelligence area, the Guatemalan Social Security Institute submitted to the Ministry of Environment the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) to develop the project called "Construction of the IGSS Hospital in Jutiapa, Jutiapa."

At the end of the year a tender could be launched for the design and building of a 70,000 square meter hospital in Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
The hospital will require a total investment of $178 million, and will have, in an area of 70 thousand square meters, 64 clinics, 12 operating rooms, 350 inpatient beds, 43 observation beds in emergency rooms, and 4 delivery rooms.
