Hospital Construction Contract Awarded

Constructora Navarro y Avilés S.A. will be in charge of the construction and equipping of the emergency building at the San Carlos Hospital, which will require an investment of $10 million.

From a  statement issued by the Costa Rican Social Security Department:

The Board of Directors of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS), awarded, in its ordinary session last Thursday, the construction and equipping of the new emergency service at San Carlos Hospital.

According to the architect Gabriela Murillo Jenkis, manager of Infrastructure and Technologies at the CCSS, this is a work of great importance that will permit remodeling of the existing emergency service, which currently has an area of 729 square meters, extending it by an additional 2200 square meters, on the premises adjacent to the existing building.

She explained that based on the corresponding technical and legal recommendations, the highest institutional body agreed to award the work to the company Constructora Navarro y Avilés S.A. and it will cost close to ¢5.2 billion.

Hospital Construction Awarded for $90 million

Van Der Laat and Jiménez will be in charge of the construction and equipping of the new 40,000 square meter hospital in Turrialba, Costa Rica.

Three Bids to Build Hospital in Puerto Armuelles

Constructora Rigaservices, Acciona Infraestructuras, and Consultores Profesionales de Ingeniería submitted bids ranging from between $64 million and $73 million.

The tender to contract comprehensive technical studies, hospital architectural designs, development and approval of plans, environmental impact study category 2, construction, furniture, medical equipment, personnel training and preventive and / or corrective maintenance for the new hospital in Port Armuelles, located in Chiriqui province, has received three bids.

Panama: Works Resumed on Hospital City

October 2015

The Social Security Department has made a partial payment of $40 million to the contractor of the project to resume work and complete the complex, valued at $517 million.

The project which was awarded to the company Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC) during the Martinelli administration is only 45% complete, and it should be completed in 2017.
