Honduras - Peru Chamber of Commerce

Employers have announced that January 2015 will see the opening of the Honduran -Peruvian Chamber of Commerce which will focus on facilitating business between the two countries.

With the affiliation of 32 Honduran companies, this initiative will seek to exploit business opportunities in the Peruvian market for Honduran companies.

The president of the Honduras-Peru Business Council, Obdulio Hernández told Latribuna.hn that "... A group of Honduran businessmen initiated talks with shipping companies to have more 'frequent' sea connections between Honduras and Peru for the purpose of increasing trade. "

He added that "... Honduras and Peru resumed negotiations for an FTA last April, a process that was interrupted in June 2011 due to differences between the two countries."
