Honduras: Where to Invest in 2015

A meeting of Honduran businesses has been organized for February 12 which aims to present a portfolio of private investment projects.

This meeting entitled 'Investing in Honduras in 2015' aims to bring together various sectoral ministers with the business community in order to pool projects to be developed during the year and publicize the work plans.

Laprensa.hn reports that "... The perceived improvement in the domestic investment climate is encouraging the private sector to take up projects and investments that had been put on hold pending more favorable conditions. " This economic climate has encouraged employers to put these projects on the agenda of this meeting.

Emin Jorge Abufele, president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Cortés, told Laprensa.hn that "... The time is ripe to dust off projects which had been put on hold, considering that macroeconomic indicators such as inflation remain relatively low, monetary policy is sufficiently clear and materials such as fuel have greatly reduced in cost. "
