Honduras: Tender for Construction of Substation

The National Electricity Company is inviting bids for the design, supply, transportation, erection, testing and public works on all of the equipment covered in the "Construction of Substation La Entrada" Project.

The National Electricity Company (ENEE) is inviting eligible bidders to submit sealed bids for the design, supply, transportation, erection, testing, civil works of all of the equipment covered in a project that involves the construction of the Substation 'La Entrada'.

It includes:

(I) the construction of a substation with transformer capacity of 50 MVA at 230 kV / 34.5 kV, with its associated output lines to create a link between the SIEPAC and the Honduran transmission network;
(Ii) installation of three towers for the entry of transmission lines;
(Iii) improvements to associated distribution lines.
The construction site is located in the municipality of San Nicolas, Department of Copan, Honduras CA The delivery / construction period is eighteen (18) months.

Honduras Government Purchase No. LPI-3103-001-2014:
"CONSTRUCTION AND TESTING OF ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION SWITCHING AND ENTRY SUBSTATION 230 / 34.5kV, 50 MVA."

The deadline for submission of bids is January 9, 2015.

The project has resurfaced with the interest shown by Empresa de Energia de Bogota and Celsia, two Colombian companies.

"The first to express their intentions was the Empresa de Energía de Bogotá (EEB), after the president, Ricardo Martinelli, announced on March 13 that Panama would not continue with the work, which would represent an investment of 500 million dollars" , reported Prensa.com.

The Electricity Transmission Company has put out to tender the supply and construction of 115 KV and 230 KV transmission lines.

According to the specifications the tender is for the supply and construction of a 115kV transmission line Santa Rita Chagres and a 230 KV Panama line .
