Honduras Promoting Tourism in Egypt

100 taxi cabs will travel the roads of El Cairo, Egypt, painted with advertising of Honduras’ main touristic destinations.

They will feature destinations such as the ruins of Copán and Roatán, and will be visible in the taxis for one year.

“The entire surface of these taxis is painted with Honduran symbols, highlighting the Bay Islands and the Mayan ‘Estelas’”, reported Latribuna.hn.

Ministers meet in bid to project Central America as a single tourist destination

Central American tourism ministers are meeting today and tomorrow in Honduras as they seek ways to promote the region as a destination.

The meeting will study approaches to cruise-ship lines, charter airlines and travel wholesalers to promote Central America as a single destination. The ministers also aim to seek technical assistance from Europe with a view to improving the industry's management.
