Thursday, October 20, 2011

After meetings with industry representatives, the Security Ministry said that at present no prison facility will be built on the lands near the industrial area of Choloma, Cortés.

"A statement released yesterday by the Canadian company Gildan, noted:"In support of our employees' concerns and to ensure that we provide the safest working environment, we have recommended to the Committee for the Construction of Penal Institution numerous alternative sites that are available that can be used for the construction of a new penal building.

These recommended alternative sites do not represent a security risk to communities in the area. So far we have no confirmation that a decision has been made about it", published Elheraldo.hn
