The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cortes (CCIC) has announced that through the Embassy of Honduras in Kuwait it has started calling on avocado producers who may be interested in exporting their product to the Middle East country.

"... 'We have to look for opportunities like these to export and in this way stimulate domestic production", said Pedro Barquero, executive director of the CCIC, adding that they are asking different producers nationwide to contact this union to provide basic information such as their general data and the amount of land planted with this agricultural product."

Vanessa Rodriguez, in charge of trade missions at the CCIC, told Laprensa.hn that "... they are starting the search for producers specifically for that crop. 'Anyone who is interested in making their products available can call 2561-6100 extension 219 or email misionescomerciales@ccichonduras.org'."
