The government of Honduras together with onion producers and importers has agreed to create a regulation on importing vegetables in order to control the activity.

Alden Rivera, head of the Ministry of Economic Development, told Latribuna.hn that "... Previously, anyone could import this product at the expense of domestic production, but now imports are regulated and only members of the chain may import. "

"... In the coming days a ministerial agreement will be issued, putting an end to the problem of producers who for days have been demanding regulation. "
