Honduras: $75 million Loan for Roads

With IDB financing the highway connecting San Pedro Sula to Tegucigalpa and the road that connects to Puerto Cortés, will be extended.

From a statement issued by the Inter-American Development Bank:

Honduras will improve two major road corridors, increasing lanes and renovating several sections with the help of a loan of US $75 million from the Inter - American Development Bank (IDB).

The works will reduce travel times of users and vehicle operating costs in the main logistics and tourist corridor, thereby improving productivity indices and regional integration of the Central American country.

$150 Million Loan for Road Works

With IDB financing, a road improvement and rehabilitation program will be implemented in Guatemala, connecting productive areas and departmental capitals to the main network.

Honduras: $17 Million Loan for Roadworks

February 2013

The Inter-American Development Bank has approved a loan to Honduras for $17.2 million to be used to support the expansion of the CA-5 North, the main highway in Honduras.

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has announced the approval of a loan of $17.2 million to support the expansion and improvement of the CA-5 North, which is the main highway in Honduras.

CABEI Holds Disbursements until Honduras Pays $5 Million

February 2010

CABEI is holding $130 million in disbursements until the country pays a pending balance of $5 million.

These $130 million from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration are earmarked to build a highway in the north of the country, a project managed by the Millennium Challenge Account.
