Using a demand/income sensitivity model developed by CentralAmericaData's Commercial Intelligence Area, it is possible to project the variations that household demand for different goods and services will undergo as the most critical phases of the spread of covid-19 are overcome and the measures restricting mobility in the region's countries are lifted.

For this analysis, it is assumed that quarantine and mobility restriction measures will be extended for a period of three months.

When analyzing the sales levels of establishments dedicated to providing the home alarm service, it is estimated that once the quarantine period is over, households in Central America will reduce their spending on this type of service by at least 1%.

When the economies begin to normalize their commercial activity, spending on Internet and telephone packages could contract by at least 4%, as compared to the sales levels recorded prior to the Covid-19 crisis.
