The 351-room Hilton Panama Hotel is scheduled to open in 2011 and it will be directly operated by Hilton Hotels Corporation. Embassy Suites by Hilton Panama City will also be operated by the Corporation and it will have 306 rooms. They also hope to open this hotel in 2011.

Doubletree by Hilton Panama City and Panama Hilton Garden Inn Hotels are under franchise contracts, and they will have 213 and 163 rooms respectively.

The vice president of operations for Hilton Hotels Corporation for the Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America, Daniel Hughes, said: “These newest additions reinforce our commitment to add a number of properties to our Central America portfolio and to have a presence in one of the region’s fastest growing destinations.”

A multi-million dollar contract was announce by the Hilton chain to establish their first Garden Inn Hotel in Central American, in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

The establishment, which will be the Hilton family's fifth in Costa Rica, will have 169 rooms, 10 of which will be luxury suites.
