Residential projects in Central America

Apartment towers in Costa Rica, Guatemala and Panama are some of the residential construction projects planned for the coming months in the region.

The interactive platform "Construction in Central America", compiled by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData, includes an up to date list of public and private construction projects for which environmental impact studies (EIA) were submitted to the respective institutions of each country in April 2017.

Details of some of the projects: 

In Costa Rica 3-101-721611 S.A. presented an EIA to build a residential and commercial complex of 2 buildings with 448 apartments in the Cinco Esquinas district, Tibás canton, San José province. The project is called "Bambú Rivera" and according to the study it will involve an  investment of $30 million.

In Guatemala, Activo Seguro, S.A. submitted an EIA to build, in Zone 14 of Guatemala City, 2 towers with 9 storeys each which will house 306 apartments in total. The project is called "Tower Zone 14" and according to the study the investment amount is $10 million.

In Panama, Ocean Reef Residences 2, Inc submitted an EIA to build in Isla Pinta, Panama province, 2 towers with 4 storeys of residences that will have a swimming pool, roof garden and other social areas. The project is called "Ocean Reef Lotes 29-30 Isla Pinta" and according to the document the amount to be invested is $10 million.

May 2017

A residential complex is to be built in a 6-hectare plot and will contain 416 apartments in 8 14-storey buildings within the development area of ​​Costa Sur, in Juan Diaz, Panama.

Mixed-use buildings and vertical condominiums in Guatemala and Sacatepéquez are some of the projects for which environmental impact studies were submitted in June 2016.

The latest report "Construction Projects in Guatemala", prepared by the Business Intelligence Unit at CentralAmericaData.com, provides an up to date list of construction projects for which environmental impact assessment (EIA) studies were submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARN) in June.
