Guatemala seeks Russian investment in transport and energy

Guatemala is seeking Russian investment in energy and transport, Lars Pira, Guatemala's deputy foreign minister, said during a visit to Moscow.

Last year, trade between the two countries totaled US$57 million, but Pira said that "there is great potential for cooperation."
Guatemala could offer Russia farm products, Pira said. In return it was seeking investment, "above all in energy, transport infrastructure and mining."
