Monday, February 3, 2014

Plans are underway in Guatemala to build a center to house the administrative offices of the state. The complex will have capacity for 11 thousand workers and it is planned to be offered in an international tender this year in 2014.

"... According to the project schedule, the technical and economic studies will be ready between May and June so that in August the tender can be announced. After that the prequalification of bidders will take place followed by the reception of offers in the last three months of the year. "

" ... The work could be about 180 thousand square meters and its construction will require about $140 million. The complex will include basements for parking, a central plaza, shopping areas, nurseries and a processing center," said Julio Héctor Estrada, director of the National Agency of Allies for the Development of Economic Infrastructure (ANADIE).

"Although the state owns the land, the complex will be built by a private company under a 20 year lease and at the end of the term it will be passed to state hands ."
