Who Wants to Run La Aurora Airport?

A search has begun for investors interested in participating in the tender to award the operation of La Aurora International Airport in concession, for a term of 15 to 20 years.

The plan to grant the airport concession is being promoted by the Ministry of Communications, Infrastructure and Housing (CIV) and the National Agency of Partnerships for the Development of Economic Infrastructure (Anadie). To this end, last year, the Deloitte / Tetra Tech Association was contracted to carry out the feasibility study of the "Modernization, Efficiency and Safety of La Aurora International Airport" .

Four Offers to Modernize La Aurora

The four consortiums made up of companies from Spain, Mexico and Colombia presented their proposals in the tender to prepare a feasibility study to modernize the airport in Guatemala City.

Guatemala May 16, 2016. This morning teams from the National Agency of Partnerships for the Development of Economic Infrastructure (ANADIE), the National Competitiveness Program (PRONACOM) and the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) took part in the reception and opening of technical and financial proposals submitted by four consulting firms interested in preparing a feasibility study for the evaluation and structuring of an initiative by the Partnerships for the Development of Economic Infrastructure: "Modernization, Efficiency and Security of La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City". The consulting firms that submitted the offers were:
