Guatemala Issues $61 million in Bonds

At terms of 10 to 15 years and rates of 7.1% and 7.2%, respectively, the government issued treasury bonds worth Q471 million, equivalent to $61 million in the first auction of the year.

From a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance:

The Ministry of Finance held the first event issuing Treasury Bonds of the Republic of Guatemala for the Fiscal Year 2017, where, as in the first event in 2016, investors showed a level high interest, and on that occasion demand amounted to Q.2,884.46 million.

On this occasion, demand for Treasuries was received totalling Q.2,934.51 million, of which 12.13% were for the maturation date of 12.15.2027; 3.65% for the maturation date 08.02.2029 and 84.22% for the maturation date 4/27/2032.

This time Q.471.0 millones, ie 16.05% of the demand was awarded. For the maturation date 12/15/2027 Q221.0 million was awarded at a cut off price of 100.1873 and cut off rate of 7.1000%; and for the maturation date 27/04/2032 Q250.00 million was awarded at a cut off price of 101.6065 cut off rate of 7.1997%.

Guatemala Awards $116 Million in Debt

The Ministry of Finance issued Treasury Bonds for an amount equivalent to $116 million, of which $52 million was in local currency and $64 million in foreign currency.

The overall amount of Treasury Bonds issued by the Republic of Guatemala so far, amounts to $414 million, corresponding to Fiscal Year 2020, of which one million correspond to Treasury Bonds issuances for small investors.

In the first issue using the book-entry system, the government sold Q207 million in treasury bonds, equivalent to $27 million, with maturities of 10, 12 and 15 years.

Guatemala Issues $46 million in Treasury Notes

Treasury debt securities have been issued with a 15-year term and a weighted average rate of 7.4810%.

The result of the sale of treasury bonds, held on Tuesday December 1, 2015, is as follows:

There was demand for Q1,300.6 million, of which 16.91% had a maturity date of 02.10.2025, 9.23% with a maturity of 19.05.2027 and 73.86% with a maturity date of 18 / 03/2030.
