Nicaragua Looking to Increase Exports

Growers and exporters are developing strategic plans to double their exports to the European Union.

Plans will be developed for coffee, meat, shrimp, peanut, organic cacao, honey, sesame and tobacco.

Patrick Gouka, director of the Exports and Investments Center of Nicaragua (CBI), explained that "one of the aspects they will analyze is the quality and value-added of their merchandise, as this is an important requirement of the European market".

Salvadoran exports to Taiwan increase 79%

From March to August of this year, El Salvador increase its exports to Taiwan by 79%, Eugenia Yang, economic adviser at the Taiwanese Embassy in the country, reported.
