Guatemala: Annual Inflation in January 2018 is 4.7%

During the first month of the year, the CPI registered a monthly variation of -0.4%, mainly explained by the negative behavior of food prices and recreation activities.

From a report by the National Institute of Statistics:

The most important inflation levels for January 2018 are the following: a monthly variation of -0.40% was registered, an interannual variation of 4.71% and an accumulated variation of -0.40%.  Click to interact with graphClick to interact with graph

Of the twelve divisions of expenditure that make up the CPI, food (-0.99%), recreation (-0.78%) and communications (-0.03%), reflect the behavior in the price level of inflation up to January 2018. In turn, education (0.39%), health (0.30%), are some of the divisions that showed increases in their price level.

The interannual variation in January 2018 (4.71%) was 0.88 higher than that observed in the same month of the previous year (3.83%).  And in relation to that registered in December 2017 (5.68%) it fell 0.97.

Dominican Republic Accumulates 4.2% Inflation in 2017

The consumer price index registered a monthly variation of 0.97% in December last year, driven mainly by food and transport prices.

From a Report by the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic:

The consumer price index (CPI) varied 0.97% in the month of December compared to November 2017.  With this result, annual inflation, measured from December 2016 to December 2017, ended the year at 4.20%, based on the central value of the target range of 4.0% ± 1.0% established in the Monetary Program. 

Nicaragua: 5% YoY Inflation Up to November 2017

In November, the CPI registered a monthly variation of 1.21%, explained mainly by prices of food, non-alcoholic beverages and transport.

From a report by the Central Bank of Nicaragua:

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly variation of 1.21 percent (0.27% in November 2016), explained mainly by the behavior of prices in some goods and services in the categories of Food and non-alcoholic beverage (2.65% ); Transportation (1.37%); and Accommodation, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (0.64%), which together contributed 1,077 percentage points to the variation observed. In contrast, the category of Communications showed a variation of -0.30 percent (-0,008pp). [GRAFICA caption = "Click to interact with graphics"]

Guatemala: Annual Inflation to September 2017 is 4.4%

October 2017

The CPI registered a monthly reduction of 0.55%, mainly explained by the behavior of prices for food and alcoholic beverages.

From a statement issued by the National Statistics Institute:

The most significant inflation levels in September 2017 were: an inter-monthly variation of -0.55%, a year-on-year change of 4.36% and a cumulative variation of 3.23%. [GRAFICA caption = "Click to interact with graphics"]

Honduras: Annual Inflation to August 2017 is 3.8%

In August, the monthly variation was 0.33%, mainly explained by the behavior of fuel prices and rent for housing.

From a report by the Central Bank of Honduras:  

In July of this year, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed a monthly increase of 0.33% (0.14% in August 2016); explained mainly by increase of prices registered in fuels, rent of housing and certain foods. [GRAFICA caption = "Click to interact with graphics"]
