In relation to the consequences that the sector has faced, as a result of the natural catastrophe, Luis Rey, president of the Chamber of Tourism of Guatemala, said that " ... in terms of cancellations of trips, hotel reservations and other services, losses are calculated at up to US $2 million (Q14.9 million)."
