Grupo Roble builds 4,500 homes in Panama

The average price of one of the residences is $62,500 and the incentives (included in the Law of Preferential Interest Rates) to buy these homes are one of a kind in the region.

Grupo Roble Panama, a division of the Salvadoran Grupo Poma, is building the residential complex in La Chorrera to the east of Panama City which will have a total of 4,500 homes which will be grouped in nine closed clusters or communities.

Panama: 5,000 Houses to be Built

The Ministry of Housing has announced the construction in the coming years, of 5,000 houses in the Province of Colón aimed to address the housing deficit.

"For over 20 years this province has been facing a severe shortage of homes, which is why the Government is currently developing the following housing the projects: Manuel Castillo, with 500 apartment units, Nuevo Arco Iris and La Victoria, with about 350 houses, and Senior Buena Vista, with 300, plus about 200 homes in Portobelo. "

Panama: $ 141 Million for Social Housing

During 2011 the Ministry of Housing plans to build 50 social interest housing projects.

The Ministry stated that of the projects announced, 30 of them include about 3.500 homes which will go to low-income families in the provinces of Panama, Colon, Veraguas, Cocle, Chiriqui, Herrera and Los Santos.
