With the construction by Avianca of a training and aircraft maintenance center in Colombia, the potential of the aviation market in the region has been confirmed.

Avianca's Aeronautical Center will operate in an enclosed area at José María Córdova International Airport in Rionegro. This will be one of the most important complexes for the large aircraft maintenance, component repair and specialized training centers in Latin America.

According to the CEO of Avianca Holdings, Fabio Villegas Ramirez: "The establishment and development of an Aeronautical Center for Avianca is a decisive step in the consolidation of the Carrier as a source of expertise and benchmark of quality in the processes of aeronautical engineering in the region. Driven by a renowned team of engineers and technicians, this center is projected to be one of the most complete specialized aviation workshops in Latin America, making it a quality option for providing aircraft maintenance services to its own and third party aircraft ".

Investment in Aeronautical Maintenance

April 2018

Aeroman has announced that it will be investing $45 million in the construction of the sixth aircraft maintenance and repair hangar at the Monseñor Romero airport in El Salvador.

Authorities at Aeroman said that the hangar, which will be located on the west side of the air terminal, will be larger than hangar 5, inaugurated in 2015, and will have capacity to accommodate larger aircraft.

The Honda Aeronautical Maintenance Center could be built on the premises of the Panama Pacifico International Airport, and would be the only center in the region authorized to carry out inspections of HondaJet aircraft.
