Funeral Homes: Investment Projects in El Salvador

The business group composed of La Auxiliadora and Capillas Memoriales, plans to invest in the next few years close to $5 million in the construction of a funeral complex in the country's capital.

With the investment to be made by the business group, it is projected that in the next five years may have more than 200,000 columbariums or niches to contain the cinerary urns. Currently they have the capacity to house about 4,000 columbariums.

Carlos Belloso, general manager of the company, explained to Laprensagrafica.com that "... La Auxiliadora and Capillas Memoriales are a group of companies that also has a presence in Honduras and Nicaragua. We have been involved in the funeral industry for the past 30 years. The La Auxiliadora brand has existed in El Salvador for more than 60 years."

Belloso added that "... the Hogar de las Memorias is the first complex of its kind in the country and that this is the first phase of a large project in which they will bet mainly on the concept of ash guard.
