MICI TO FINANCE BEST PANAMANIAN PRODUCTIONS THROUGH FILM FUND CONTEST

52 Panamanian projects have qualified in the first call for the Film Fund Contest, which will fund the winning productions with more than two million dollars, announced the Minister of Trade and Industry, Ricardo Quijano.

According to the head of Commerce, this competition was created to develop and promote the growing film industry in Panama. The motivation for the Film Fund, organized by the National Film Industry, was to support an emerging film market that will give way to a growing economic and cultural movement in the country, creating our own images and stories to reflect our current day Panama, said Quijano.
