Monday, April 27, 2015

From a statement issued by the Ministery of Economy of El Salvador:

In recent weeks the international prices of petroleum products recorded the following variations:+4,42% in special gasoline, +3,33% for regular gasoline and +6,50% in diesel.

Volatility remains in economies around the world, in this bullish scenario, prices on refined products of petroleum products (gasoline and diesel), directly impact dependent economies, namely those that import items from this important category ; therefore the price of fuel has been rising gradually. Added to this complex geopolitical issue, is speculation, over-supply in producer countries and less pressure because of the reduced growth of the economies in Europe and China primarily, according to market analysis.
