Reference prices for fuels from 21 January to 3 February
MINEC announces new variations on the reference prices for gasoline and diesel.
The Ministry of Finance announced this January 20, new variations on the reference prices for fuel, which will be effective from 21 January to 3 February 2014.
During the month of December, the price of WTI (West Texas Intermediate) in the Gulf Coast of the United States averaged a value of $91.51 per barrel, a decrease of -4.30% compared to the previous month.International prices of petroleum products had the following variations: +0.62% in the price of premium gasoline, +1.28% in the price of regular gasoline and -0.84% in the price of diesel.
In recent weeks, international fuel prices have been influenced by better economic prospects in the short term internationally, together with decreases in inventories of petroleum products in the United States.
A result, the new variations of the reference prices for fuel at the national level, are as follows: special gasoline increased + $ 0.02 in the three areas of the country, regular gasoline increased + $ 0.03 in the central and western, and + $ 0.04 in the east, and diesel will decrease - $ 0.03 in the eastern and western areas, and - $ 0.02 in the central area.
