From $32 to $35 million For Convention Center

The construction companies Van Der Laat y Jimenez, Estructuras, S.A., and Edica, submitted bids to build and equip a new convention center in Costa Rica.

The tender to build and equip the new National Congress and Convention Center (CNCC by its initials in Spanish) of Costa Rica has received three bids, said the country's Tourism Minister, Mauricio Ventura, in remarks published by Nacion.com.

"... The chief of Tourism explained that in order to create the site the company Constructora Van Der Laat y Jimenez quoted $35.3 million for building the project; Estructuras S.A., $34.6 million and Edica, $32.3 million. The construction of the event center will be a turnkey system. The company that wins the project will have a term of one year in which to build the work. "

"... Ventura said the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT by its initials in Spanish), owner of the center, will award the work before the end of April. The project is valued at $35 million. The ICT's goal is for the event center to be build in the second half of 2017 and be in operation from 2018."

December 2015

A tender process has been launched in Costa Rica for the construction and equipping of the National Convention Centre using the turnkey format.

The Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) published the bidding rules for the building and equipping of the National Convention Centre, to be located next to the General Cañas Highway, behind the facilities of the National Center for Food Supply and Distribution (Cenada), which will be developed using the turnkey format.

$35 million Office Center in Costa Rica

Three six storey buildings make up the Sigma Business Center, to be inaugurated in April 2013.
