Five Bids to Renovate Streets in Panama City

Between $26.4 million and $27.8 million is the range of five proposals submitted by five consortiums for the urban renewal project Calle Uruguay, Bella Vista.

Taking part in the tender were Ortiz Construcciones y Proyectos, S.A. with a proposal of $27.8 million. The Companies Constructora Meco, S.A.; MCM Global consortium, made up Munilla Construction Management LLC / MCM Global, S.A., Conalvías Construcciones, and Asociación Accidental C&C Construye. The four companies submitted economic bids of $26.4 million.

José Isturaín, deputy director of Urban Planning at the Municipality of Panama, told that "... this work includes the construction of new sidewalks, improving the sewage system, laying underground cables, planting trees and installing lights among other facilities."

Five Proposals to Repair Roads by $27 Million

Proposals presented in Panama in the tender for the renovation of streets in the townships of Caimitillo, Ernesto Córdoba, Las Cumbres, Alcalde Díaz and Chilibre range from $27.7 million to $30.6 million.

The works consist of the Renovation of Streets in the District of Panama, Districts of: Mayor Diaz, Caimitillo, Chilibre, Ernesto Cordoba Campos and Las Cumbres, in the Province of Panama, where the Tenderers must consider the conditions in which the existing road is, and the obligation that the Proposals are compatible in such a manner as to allow its effective and efficient execution.

Six Offers for Road Works for $49 million

MECO, Constructora Urbana and Bagatrac are three of the companies that submitted their proposals in the tender to build 80 kilometers of roads in Chiriqui, Panama.

Also taking part in the tender with a reference value of $49 million, are the consortiums Caminos de David (ININCO S.A. and Construcciones Civiles and Concretos de Panamá S.A.), Vias y Puentes del Istmo (Empresa Constructora CUMO and China Railway International Group Panama) and Calles de David (CENTRAL MIX S.A. and Conalvías Construcciones S.A.S. Panama branch).

Constructora MECO won the contract for the design and improvement of public space, road and pedestrian infrastructure, and easements in Calle Uruguay, in the district of Panama.

Taking part in the tender were:  Ortiz Construcciones y Proyectos, S.A. with a proposal of $27.8 million and Constructora Meco, S.A.; MCM Global consortium, made up of Munilla Construction Management LLC / MCM Global, S.A., Conalvías Construcciones, and Asociación Accidental C&C Construye, all four with economic proposals of $26.4 million.

Panama: Offers for $ 8 Million Road

January 2011

Five companies submitted bids for the rehabilitation project of the Calzada Larga Highway, Buenos Aires.

Companies presenting tenders to MOP were Conalvías / Centralmix, $ 8 million 644.560; Constructora Meco, $ 7 million 253.493; Consultores Profesionales de Ingeniería, $ 15 million 308.689, Constructores en Corporación, $ 7 million 164.163 and Constructora Urbana , $ 7 million 253.500.
