Fast Food Chain Seeks Branches in Costa Rica

A representative of the American restaurant franchise Chuck E Cheese's is planning to open three stores in the country, and is currently looking for spaces in the West and East of San Jose.

The representative company plans to open the first restaurant in Plaza Bratsi, in Heredia. Around $3 million will be invested in this location, and the process of remodeling the premises, importing games and hiring staff is currently being completed.
 
Adriana Álvarez, executive vice president of the brand for the country, told Elfinancierocr.com that for now they are planning to open three restaurants. "... "We have at least three locations in mind in the country, we are currently looking for locations in the west and east. This is a unique concept in the country, there is no other place with the characteristics of Chuck E Cheese's; a place of entertainment and food for adults and children."
 
"... This franchise will be added to the other informal American dining brands that operate in the country which include Outback, Chili's, Smasburger, Cosi, Denny's, Johnny Rockets and TGI Friday's."

The US company DineEquity Inc. has announced the opening of its first restaurant in Panama City, and plans to open four other establishments in the next five years.

More Restaurants in Guatemala

The US company Denny's has announced the opening of its first restaurant in Guatemala City, which will be operated by a company of Honduran origin called Comidas Especializadas.

Fast Food Outlets in Costa Rica: Some Leaving, Others Expanding

In the same month that two fast food franchises closed operations, another chain has announced that over the next 18 months it will be investing $4 million in opening three new stores.

At the moment the fast food chain Johnny Rockets operates in three locations, in which it has invested about $2 million.

Taco Maker Now Operates in Panama

The Mexican food franchise inaugurated its first restaurant in the country, out of the 20 it plans for the next 8 years.

Taco Maker's new restaurant is located in Albrook Mall, in the Ancón district. It joins international franchise The Taco Maker Inc. (TTM), alonside 185 restaurants in United States, Latin America and the Far East.
