The Superintendency of Electricity and Telecommunications (Siget) could extend until the end of July the deadline so as to get more offers and consider the charges to be billed and form that they will deliver the supply.

The idea is to sign the contract with the winning investor group in late September 2013. "The Siget is ready for the arrival of new capital and we believe that an extension will be allowed. In the meantime, we are receiving comments and, if possible, we will make some of the terms of reference more flexible," said Roberto Gonzalez, CEO at DelSur (the distributor representing the entire industry in the competition).
