The European Commission has banned the airline Rollins Air, which conducts charter flights, from operating on European soil.

Monday, November 21, 2011

As reported by the newspaper El Heraldo, a statement issued by the Commission cites "security concerns raised by France", as the reason for the ban.

"'Safety comes first. We can not accept any obligation in this area. Where we have evidence inside or outside the EU that airlines do not perform safety operations we must act to ensure the exclusion of any security risk", the commission said through the Transport Commissioner Sim Kallas. "

Company representatives from the airline informed the press that they have not received any official communication from the E.C.
