Brands such as Monster, Jet, Battery and Red Bull are some of the energy drinks sold in Costa Rica, where, as in other countries, the consumption of these drinks has been growing steadily in recent years.

Elfinancierocr.com reports that "... Euromonitor records show that six years ago Costa Ricans consumed 3.6 million liters and, last year, 10 million."

"...That level of consumption led to companies in the business, including Florida Ice & Farm (Fifco), Ciamesa and Dipo, collectively selling $27.8 million worth in 2010 and $41.5 million worth in 2015. Jet (a brand belonging to Florida Bebidas) leads the 2015 ranking in terms of volume. Meanwhile, in relation to the value of sales, Maxx Energy (also belonging to Florida) ranks first on the list."
