Electronic Manufacturing Comes to Costa Rica

With an investment of $10 million the German company Zollner Elektronik AG is to establish a manufacturing and support services plant.

From a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Trade in Costa Rica (COMEX):

Zollner Elektronik AG, one of 15 world leaders in electronics manufacturing services (EMS) and the number one in Germany, announced today the establishment of its modern manufacturing and technical support services plant in Costa Rica.

Zollner's new operation will become the first in Latin America and will be located in an industrial park in a free zone in Costa Rica.

The investment of approximately $10 million to be made by Zollner includes its new operating infrastructure and equipment for the electronic manufacturing. The company will also create 200 new job opportunities in the next three years.

Costa Rica: Printed Circuits Plant Inaugurated
