An analysis of consumer interests and preferences in Guatemala, compiled by CentralAmericaData's Trade Intelligence Unit, provides interesting results on the personal characteristics of people who express an interest in vehicles. In Guatemala, 6% of consumers are interested in electric vehicles, and half of them are between 21 and 30 years old, and have a high level of purchasing power. The population with the highest average incomes in the country show interest in electric vehicles, hybrids and SUVs. When each segment is analyzed, 3% of the population shows interest in hybrid cars, and 49% of this group of consumers are between 21 and 30 years old.

9% of the population shows interest in SUVs, and 41% of these consumers are between 20 and 30 years old.

On the other hand, the analysis details that the population with lower consumption capacity shows interest in motorcycles, minivans, trucks and sedan-type vehicles.

When analyzing the total population, it is observed that 18% of the total shows interest in motorcycles, and of this segment of consumers 70% are between 15 and 30 years old. On the other hand, 41% of the total consumers in the country are interested in vehicles of the automobile type, and of this group, 42% are between 21 and 30 years old.

In the case of trucks, for example, 12% of Guatemalans report interest in this type of vehicle, and of that portion of the population, 30% are between 31 and 45 years old.
