El Salvador and Russia sign Cooperation Agreements

Both Governments signed a cooperation agreement in areas of science, technology and tourism.

Technical cooperation in disaster areas, more scholarships, promotion of investments, among others, was the result of the first working day which ended earlier today between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, Hugo Martinez, and his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.

The foreign ministers agreed to promote business meetings for next year, aiming to assess Russian investments in the country and the sale of Salvadoran products in Russia.

Taiwan Agrees Cooperation with Honduras

Honduras agreed to receive support from Taiwan in order to attract investment and promote social projects.

The information was announced by Foreign Minister Mario Canahuati from Taipei, as part of the official visit of President Porfirio Lobo, without disclosing the amount of the loan which the country may receive.

Russian Delegation Visits Nicaragua in June

On June 1st and 2nd a high-level Russian delegation will meet with Nicaraguan ministers for the second session of the so called “Join Committee” (“Comisión Mixta” in Spanish).

Manuel Coronel Kautz, Nicaragua’s vice chancellor, told newspaper La Prensa that they will discuss topics related to energy, health, industrial cooperation, tourism, transportation and foreign trade.
