El Salvador - Ecuador FTA Negotiations Finalised

Flowers, cocoa, white goods, articles of clothing, footwear, plastic and nectars are among the goods included in the agreement.

From a statement issued by the Ministry of Economy of El Salvador:

The governments of El Salvador and Ecuador concluded on Friday September 2 negotiations for a Partial Agreement of Economic Complementation between the two nations,  a document was signed for the initiation of legal proceedings for its subsequent entry into force.

This agreement will benefit more than two hundred products from each of the Parties, among which are flowers, cocoa, white goods, articles of clothing, footwear, plastic, and nectars, and others.

El Salvador - Venezuela Trade Agreement Renegotiated

In the first round market access issues, rules of origin, customs procedures, sanitary and phytosanitary measures and technical barriers to trade were reviewed.

The aims of the first round of renegotiation are to provide updates and open spaces to new sectors not covered by the partial agreement signed in 1986 and for the November 17 a second round will be start which will be concluded in early 2015.

In the 2nd. meeting, they were able to close the chapters Administration, Customs Procedures and Trade Facilitation, Technical Barriers to Trade and Dispute Settlement.

El Salvador Negotiates Partial Agreement with Ecuador

The country will begin negotiations this year to achieve a partial scope trade agreement with Ecuador.

The announcement was released by the Salvadoran Vice Minister of Economy Mario Roger Hernández, who added that both countries will define a basic food supply list with no more than 800 duty free lines, to begin negotiations.
