El Salvador: Remittances Exceed $3.3 billion

Between January and September this year remittance flows amounted to $3.337 billion, recording an annual increase of 6%.

From a statement issued by the Reserve Bank of El Salvador:

El Salvador received US $3.3372 billion in income from remittances received from January to September, exceeding by US $191.78 million the amount recorded in the same period last year and making the year on year growth rate 6.1%, reported the Central Reserve Bank.

In September alone, US $362.74 million came into the country in remittances, reflecting an increase of 4.7% compared to the same month last year. Family remittances contribute to improving the living conditions of about 1.3 million people, according to the Household and Multi - Purpose Survey (EHPM) 2014.

El Salvador Remittances Keep Rising

During the first nine months of the year, the country received $4.039 million in family remittances, 9% more than in the same period of 2017.

From the statement of the Central Reserve Bank:

El Salvador received US$4,039.4 million in family remittances up to September 2018 with a growth of 9.2%, which exceeded by US$340.6 million the income received under this concept in the same period of the previous year, informed the Central Reserve Bank (BCR).

Remittances to El Salvador Up 10%

September 2018

In the first eight months of the year, the country received $3.604 billion in family remittances, almost 10% more than in the same period in 2017.

El Salvador received US $3,604.1 million in family remittances up to August 2018, with a growth of 9.5%, exceeding by US $311.6 million the income received under this concept in the same period last year, the Central Reserve Bank reported. 

El Salvador: Remittances Up 9%

May 2018

As of April, family remittances so far this year totaled $1.730 billion, registering a 9% increase compared to the same period of the previous year.

From a report by the Central Bank of Honduras:

El Salvador received US $1.729.6 billion in family remittances as of April 2018, with a growth of 9.2% and exceeding by US $145.7 million the income received under this concept in the same period of the previous year, the Central Reserve Bank reported. 

El Salvador: $4.1 billion in Remittances up to October 2017

November 2017

Between January and October, the country received $4.1 billion in remittances, registering an increase of 10% compared to the same period last year.

From a report by the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador:

El Salvador received US $4.1123 billion in family remittances up to October 2017, reflecting a growth of 10.3% and exceeding by $384.2 million the income received under this concept in the same period last year, reported the Central Reserve Bank.
