El Salvador: More Presence in Trade Fairs

A plan created between the government and the private sector that aims to improve the country's exposure and its exports through greater participation in international trade events.

From a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador:

El Salvador presents this day the "Plan of events for Trade Promotion and Investment Attraction in El Salvador 2016", through a public-private partnership composed of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Export Promotion and Investment Agency of El Salvador (PROESA ), the International Center for Fairs and Conventions (CIFCO), the Ministry of Economy, El Salvadoran Coffee Council and the Corporation of Exporters of El Salvador (COEXPORT).

The Plan seeks to promote greater participation of the country and the Salvadoran export supply in the main showcases around the world and raise awareness in international markets of El Salvador's attractiveness as a trading and investment partner .

Trade Between El Salvador and Honduras

From October 12th to 16th a group of Salvadoran companies will be visiting Honduras to explore business opportunities in the sectors of food and beverages, manufacturing and services.

The visit is being organized by the Trade Promotion and Investment Agency of El Salvador. Salvadoran companies will promote products such as liquor, baked goods, natural juices, orgeat, barley, leather footwear and clothing.

Missions to Trade Shows Canceled

Disinterest and a change of plans by organizers has forced Salvadoran authorities to cancel their participation in two events.

The Investment Promotion Agency (Proesa) of El Salvador had to cancel participation in two fairs planned for April.

Those are, OutSource2LAC, scheduled for 12th and 13th of this month, the date was changed by the organizers themselves, said Giovanni Berti, director of the agency.

Salvadoran Trade Fair in Los Angeles, USA

July 2009

From July 31 to August 2, over 100 Salvadoran companies will participate in the XIV Agostina Trade Fair in Los Angeles.

The event, organized by the "El Rescate" (The Rescue) Foundation, expects to receive 50.000 visitors. Financial services companies, real estate and investment projects, and tourism and exportable goods companies will be among the exhibitors.
