El Salvador: ILC stands out in SABMiller efficiency ranking.

La Constancia Industries (ILC) came in second for technical aspects in the preparation of beverages in the world ranking by British SABMiller.

This plant, located western edge of the capital, did well in the ranking for efficiency in energy and water consumption, waste generation and the use of infrastructure in general.

Company officials attribute the success to its employees. "We believe that the country should celebrate because it shows the quality of the Salvadoran worker," Rolando Caro, manufacturing vice president in El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua, said.

Besides selling the beer brands Suprema and Regia Extra, the group Industrias La Constancia is preparing to also sell this year the business of distributing Coca Cola brand drinks.
