El Salvador: $5 million for Solar Energy

Indufoam has announced it will invest $5 million to generate 4 MW solar panels to supply its industrial plant and sell the surplus.

The second phase, according to the company, will be carried out next year and will include installing another 2 MW to reach 4 MW.

According to René Toruno, president of Indufoam, the company only needs for its operations one Mega Watt of energy and any surplus will be sold through the company Indufoam Energy Supply. "We are going to generate our own energy and the rest is going to be sold to distributors, we hope to negotiate an identical price both for sales and purchase," said René Toruno, also president of Energy Supply.
