El Salvador: $4.1 billion in Remittances up to October 2017

Between January and October, the country received $4.1 billion in remittances, registering an increase of 10% compared to the same period last year.

From a report by the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador:

El Salvador received US $4.1123 billion in family remittances up to October 2017, reflecting a growth of 10.3% and exceeding by $384.2 million the income received under this concept in the same period last year, reported the Central Reserve Bank.

In the month of October alone, US $427.8 million came into the country in the form of remittances, an amount which is US $36.9 million (9.4% more) than the value registered in the same month in 2016.

In the first eight months of this year, the country received $3.7 billion in remittances, 4% more than in the same period in 2018.

Family remittances received by El Salvador from January to August 2019 reached $3.7 billion with a 4.1% growth, equivalent to an additional $146.5 million over the same period last year, according to the Central Reserve Bank.

El Salvador: Remittances Up 9%

May 2018

As of April, family remittances so far this year totaled $1.730 billion, registering a 9% increase compared to the same period of the previous year.

From a report by the Central Bank of Honduras:

El Salvador received US $1.729.6 billion in family remittances as of April 2018, with a growth of 9.2% and exceeding by US $145.7 million the income received under this concept in the same period of the previous year, the Central Reserve Bank reported. 

El Salvador: Remittances Keep Growing in 2018

March 2018

During the first two months of the year, the country received $778 million in family remittances, which is equivalent to an increase of 7.2% with respect to the amount registered in the same period in 2017.

The Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador (BCR) reported that " ...in the month of February alone, US $397.8 million was received in remittances, which represents growth of 4.4% over the same month in the previous year."
