El Salvador: $115 Million in Sports Infrastructure

Through a credit from CABEI, the Salvadoran government will carry out the modernization work of 25 sports scenarios at the national level.

The resources will be destined to the remodeling, construction, rehabilitation and equipment of the sport scenarios, details a statement of the financial organization.

The document details that "... these sports facilities at the end of their modernization will have a high level that will allow the development of local or international events such as the XII Central American Sports Games, Santa Tecla 2021."

The population benefiting from the area of influence of the different sports venues would be approximately 1,728,824 Salvadorans. The generation of direct temporary jobs would be 4,050, informed the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE).

The conditions of this financing will have a 20-year term including a 4-year grace period and an indicative annual interest rate of 2.79%.
