E-commerce: New Online Store in El Salvador

The Salvadoran government has launched a digital sales platform called Market SV, a store that will offer more than 2,000 products and distribute the goods through Correos de El Salvador.

The platform, which seeks to boost online sales for the country's small and medium-sized enterprises, is available on the site market.gob.sv and facilitates payment using credit cards.

Elmundo.sv reviews that "... One of the strengths of the new portal is that the delivery of the orders is in charge of Correos de El Salvador. The page is accessible from any device with an Internet connection and has bank protection certificates for card transactions and has Microsoft's enterprise cloud technologies."

The article adds that "... Officials explained that the store has 309 suppliers that offer technology items, jewelry, home appliances, books, footwear, among other products."

According to CentralAmericaData reports, in El Salvador since mid-January 2020, consumer interest in E-Commerce services has rebounded, a trend that has been consistent until the end of the first half of this year.
