According to CentralAmericaData's information system, the trend of consumer interest in electronic equipment and computers in recent weeks in Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras and Panama has been increasing since April.

When reviewing data on the number of people interested in acquiring a vehicle, the study specifies that in the digital environment 30% of Panamanians are looking to make a purchase. In Costa Rica the percentage rises to 14% and in Guatemala to 13%.

In El Salvador and Nicaragua, the proportion of consumers looking to buy a car is 9% in both cases, and in Honduras only 8% of consumers have expressed interest in purchasing a vehicle.

Because of the home quarantines decreed by covid-19, people's interest in vehicle-related issues fell in March and the first weeks of April.

However, from mid-April onwards, the short-term trend began to pick up in all the countries of the region, and this behavior has continued until the beginning of June.

The figures add that 40% of people looking for products and services to buy online in Panama, try to buy household and garden items, in Costa Rica the proportion rises to 32%, in Guatemala to 23%, in El Salvador 14%, in Honduras 13% and in Nicaragua 10%.
