In Panama, none of the three participating companies met the requirements established in the $62 million tender to issue driver's licenses.

On January 23, the process to provide the service for the issuance of driver's licenses and vehicle ownership cards, as well as the issuance of cards for weights and dimensions, for a period of 10 years, was declared void.
The offers ranged between $65 million and $71 million, but all three were discarded for failing to comply with part of the requirements established in the request for proposals.
Details of the offers:
Sonda S.A.: $71.2 million. GSI International Inc .: $67.1 million Grupo Sinergia Colombia SAS: $64.9 million.
An appeal of disagreement filed by Mayoreo de Computación S.A. was rejected after the Guatemalan authorities dismissed its proposal, the only one presented in the contest.
A few days ago the Qualifying Board of the tender informed that it was resolved to reject the offer presented by Mayoreo de Computación S.A. (Maycom), because the file did not comply with some of the required formalities.
Because the proposal submitted by Mayoreo de Computacion S.A. does not comply with some of the formalities required, in Guatemala decided to discard the only bid submitted in the tender for the service of issuing licenses to drive vehicles.
The company, which has been in charge of providing the service for 20 years and whose commercial name is Maycom, was the only one that presented its offer at the public ceremony, which totaled Q857 million ($111 million), but derived from some errors found in the documents, the authorities disqualified the proposal.
Mayoreo de Computacion S.A. was the only company that submitted its proposal in the tender for the service of issuing licenses to drive vehicles, for the 84-month term.
According to official documentation, the company that for 20 years has overseen providing the service and whose commercial name is Maycom, was the only one that presented its offer at the public ceremony, which totaled Q857 million ($111 million).
The Panama Transit and Land Transportation Authority is once again putting out to tender services to issue driver's licenses, for a term of 10 years.
Due to non compliance with the requirements established in the contest by the three companies that submitted bids,last January the hiring process to provide a service to issue driver's licenses and vehicle ownership cards, as well as the issuance of weights and dimensions cards, was declared void.
