Dominican Republic: Business with Russia

More tourism and the promotion of Dominican exports to the European country, are some of the benefits expected to be gained from the agreement signed between businessmen from both countries.

The cooperation agreement between the National Confederation of Agricultural Producers (Confenagro) and the Dominican-Russian Chamber of Commerce, aims to promote exports of Dominican products to Russia, facilitate joint investments, and promote tourism and cooperation.

Porfirio López Nieto, president of the Dominican-Russian Chamber of Commerce, explained to that "... This agreement aims to take advantage of the opportunities we have in Russia, increase our trade and promote development of the country, given that Russia is a market of 150 million people."

Eric Rivero, president of the Cofenagro, said that "... among the tasks of common interest for both institutions is promoting and encouraging exports of agricultural products to the Russian market, holding and participating in fairs for Dominican agricultural products in that great country, and vice versa."

Nicaragua Ratifies Agreement on Russian Investments

The Agreement for the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments has been ratified, which promotes financial and trade relations and cooperation between the two countries.

On August 14 the National Assembly unanimously approved the Agreement on the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments between the Government of the Republic of Nicaragua and the Government of the Russian Federation. This agreement seeks to promote financial and trade relations, and cooperation between the two countries.

Russian Businessmen Visit Panama

Russian companies aim to foster bilateral trade and present investment opportunities.

From July 23, 12 Russian businessmen will hold meetings with Panamanian entrepreneurs in real estate, metals, painting materials and other sectors.

"Panama's location serves as a starting point to reach South, North and Central American countries", said Dimitri Rausch, Allianz IG Investment Group CEO, who coordinated the visit.
