The cruise season is from December to the month of April. Nevertheless, on June 9th, the Carnival Freedom cruise ship docked with 2,900 passengers at the Colón 2000 port. They announced that four more cruises will arrive at the Panamanian port throughout this year.

Augusto Terracina, general manager of the Colón 2000 cruise port, noted to Pa-digital.com.pa that "Panama has comparative advantages compared to other destinations in the Caribbean since it is away form the path of the Caribbean storm system and it has ports at the entrances of the worldwide attraction of the Panama Canal"

The dates for the arrival of the coming cruises are July 12, August 6, September 3, and October 1.

Honduras: Cruise Tourism Up 42%

Reports reveal that during the 2014-2015 season which began in October and ends this month, 292 cruise ships arrived at Honduran ports, 41.7% more than in the previous season.

Tegucigalpa.- The Director of the Honduran Institute of Tourism IHT, Emilio Silvestri said today at a press conference that the cruise industry in Honduras grew by 41.7 percent in the 2014-2015 season which began in October and will end this April.

Less Cruise Ships Arriving in Panama

During the next season, starting in October, about 325,000 passengers are expected to arrive, which is 15,000 less than in the 2010 season.
