Through an agreement with a local distributor, the company that manufactures Ron Centenario will start selling its product in the British market.

r="ltr">The Costa Rican company has announced that it has sent about 7 million milliliters of product in two containers, of various aged rums, ranging from 7 to 30 years.

Juan José Valdés, International Business Manager at Centenario Internacional, explained to that "... projections are that, thanks to this commercial alliance, in one year growth of exports will be 50% greater than what had been projected."

"... Now the company has a short-term goal of continuing to expand its presence in America and Europe and venture into new markets such as Asia, where they have already had conversations, but due to cultural issues and idiosyncrasies, the process has been slower compared to other zones around the world."

Changes in Non-dairy Drinks Market

September 2016

Dos Pinos, the largest producer and distributor of milk in Costa Rica has acquired a nondairy beverage production plant, which until now has been in the hands of Bebidas Mixtas de Centroamérica.

With the purchase of this plant the Costa Rican Cooperativa de Leche Dos Pinos is seeking to venture into the regional market of drinks such as fruit juices, soft drinks, teas and bottled water.

Liquor Production Increases 7.1% in Panama

November 2009

In the first 9 months of 2009, alcoholic beverages companies produced 177.3 million liters, 7.1% more than the same period of last year.

According to data from the Economics and Finance Ministry, the main driver of this growth was beer: 35.8 million have been produced so far 2009, 15.85% more than last year.
